Personal Update
Since our last newsletter we've had many exciting moments and great sadness... Clear examples of the contrasts in life and the value of living on purpose.
Lyndons Dad, (Pa) the highly respected and much-loved Kevin Phipps passed away on Saturday 6 March in Queensland, as he'd gone there for holidays with Nan a few weeks earlier. Below is one of my favorite photos of Ethan with his Dad and Pa.

On our way home, we stopped for a little retreat at the gorgeous Lillydale, featured in Lifting the Lid on Quiet Achievers, and experienced Doug & Pam Hardgraves incredible hospitality - and amazing views of Qld's Scenic Rim. We'll be sharing more of Pam's story in the future, but for now, here's a pic we snapped before we left (rested & well fed!)

Kerrie is in Perth at the moment, connecting with friends, bookstores and Sir Richard Branson, and will be doing a book signing event in Borders bookstore in Perth later today. Then Melbourne beckons, and Sydney on the way home, so if you'd like to connect at a bookstore or cafe near you, drop us a line and we'll share all the details.
ONE FOR THE DIARY - 31 March, 6pm at the Milestone (Macquarie Street Dubbo) David Pankhurst, owner of The Book Connection is hosting a book launch with us to celebrate Lifting the Lid on Quiet Achievers. We'd love to see you!
And finally - CONGRATULATIONS to Mark Crutcher on his recent purchase of the Narrandera IGA store. Below is a snippet of his chapter, It's All About Attitude.
Cheering you on,
Lyndon & Kerrie

Success Tip
Todays Success Tip comes from Mark Crutcher.
Mark owns a chain of IGA stores in regional New South Wales. His store in Grenfell is now turning over more than seven times its original sales per week. He is well respected by his peers and was nominated and appointed Chairman of the state IGA board and Vice President of the national board. He enjoys quality time with his wife and four kids. He has managed to find the unique work life balance that eludes most successful people.
What can people do to stay on track when challenges come?
The biggest pressure you feel in business is financial and the effect it has on you emotionally. Every business goes through cycles of great success to incredible hardships. The best way to overcome this is to truly understand your business. Understand the cash flows, the reasons for the down turn in trade and what effect this is having on not only your business but also your staff. If you understand why then you can work on ways to rectify. The second and most important way is your attitude – be positive! Be the most positive person in the room – it is addictive. Attitude is everything.
This is an excerpt from Attitude Is Everything, Marks's chapter, in Lifting the Lid on Quiet Achievers
News Flash!!!
HELP!! The distributors of our book, Dennis Jones & Associates have chosen to promote Lifting The Lid On Quiet Achievers with a FULL PAGE feature in the April catalogue. This has already gone to all the major and independent book stores across Australia and New Zealand, so it’s a pretty big win - and it's pretty urgent that we get people all over Australia going into bookstores asking for it - so please tell anyone you think of who would love this book - entrepreneurs, leaders, young people - anyone who loves reading success stories... Ask your local bookstore :-)
The feedback we’re getting from the pro’s and other readers is incredibly positive - check out this comment on facebook - this made my day...
