Welcome to our first newsletter for 2010!  We've been spending some quality time focusing on how to most effectively support entrepreneurs this year, and have some exciting developements in the pipeline.  After all the work that went into publishing Lifting the Lid on Quiet Achievers - Success Stories of Regional Entrepreneurs, the first batch of books arrived on 21 Dec, my grandmothers 95th birthday, so it was pretty special to put the book in her hands. 

My younger grandma just turned 90, and was very excited to get the book too.  Most readers are a little younger, and currently in business or planning to be, but the book seems to have a wide appeal!

We've just spent 7 days in Joanna Martin's Business Transformation Week at the Gold Coast which was absolutely incredible.  On day 3 we went to Adventure Parc at Mount Tamborine where we spent the whole day stretching ourselves to the limits and coming out the other end feeling like absolute champions - and with so many insights, we're still discussing and writing about them a week later. It's amazing how many analogies you can find in testing yourself physically, that relate to your approach to life, business and relationships.

Joanna turned us into polished, inspiring speakers and we amazed ourselves with the transformation in our ability to speak confidently in front of an audience and to absolutely enjoy every moment!

Have confidence in yourself

There will be times on your path to success when you may feel that all others have deserted you or failed to understand what it is you have been trying to achieve.  In these moments, you need to have confidence in yourself, in the strength of your business concept and your own ability to give effect to your plans.

You need to be able to reassure yourself that your business plan is sound and you can only do this if you are passionate about what you are doing and have a strong belief that you can implement the necessary strategies to achieve your goals.

A thought from Kerrie -

As I mentioned above, there were so many insights as I ran, climbed, stepped, jumped and pulled my way around the high ropes course last week.  Sometimes I did feel alone, and had to stay focused on my desired outcome, whether there was anyone there to cheer me on or not.  While my physical strength may not have been enough to get me through, my strong belief that I could keep my momentum and focus and my strategies pulled me through places where others had given up.  We were told that 80% of the people who tackle the 3rd and final section of the ropes course fail at a certain point. Sounds a little like business.  Is it physical strength that gets you through, or strategy, momentum, teamwork and perseverance?

I can't recommend highly enough! If you were following our newsletters in 2009 you may remember photos from training events with Joanna Martin and know that she's made a significant difference to our business.
