Personal Update

Oh so quickly the end of another big year is here! Our newsletter today is short and sweet and hopefully really useful to support you in completing the year powerfully.

Firstly a quick snapshot of the past few weeks, below I'm pictured with a few of the fabulous Women Out West, when I spoke at their December luncheon. The success tip below has a little gem that I shared on the day.

Kerrie with Women Out West

On Tuesday night we celebrated 2009 with clients, members and friends involved in "Lifting the Lid on Quiet Achievers". We enjoyed fabulous food, beautifully prepared by Shelley Stephens, of Stephens Patisserie, and shared with each other the things we've accomplished, learned about ourselves and are proud of, as we reflect on 2009.

I recieved an email from Andrew Houghton from Cartridge World who had this to say - It was great to meet some new people that were also positive and motivated. Talking with them and listening to some testimonials made it a very inspiring night. Sincerely, Andrew.

I love connecting inspiring people!! We had so much fun talking though, that we forgot to take photos! :-(

Allen Sentance the fisherman and Sandra (Nannyone) with Lynodn and Kerrie PhippsYesterday we met up with long distance friends (who lived in Dubbo previously, but we didn't know them until this year, on facebook!) Allen & Sandra Sentance are visiting family in Dubbo and we all enjoyed swapping notes on our learning this year. They were delighted to see the proof, and can't wait to get their pre-release copy of "Lifting the Lid on Quiet Achievers" on Tuesday - along with the other early-birds who have ordered. There are a few left - so get in quick if you don't want to miss out before Christmas! (Scroll to the bottom of this page.)

We hope that whether your year has been exciting, challenging, or both - that you will take the gems from 2009, the learning, the confidence, the inner strength - and make 2010 an outstanding year. Have a wonderful Christmas break and remember the Reason for the Season.

Thanks for sharing the journey with us this year.

Cheering you on,

Lyndon & Kerrie

P.S. The books are flying off the shelves! Or out of the boxes as they arrive! We have a small shipment arriving in a couple of days, so to be one of the first to grab a signed copy see the order form at the bottom of the page!

Success Tip

Kerrie Phipps - Entrepreneurs CoachTodays Success Tip comes from Kerrie Phipps

Kerrie coaches entrepreneurs and leaders in regional areas to think big, achieve, and make the difference they were born for.

A Key to Confidence (another excerpt from “3 Keys to Confidence”)

Celebration – often mistaken for a frivolous activity – it’s far more valuable than people often realise.  Celebrating is absolutely fun, but it's an incredibly important opportunity for learning and growing in self-awareness and confidence. As I complete the year, I list all the things (that I can think of) that I’ve done, and learned. There have been significant, useful conversations with colleagues and mentors, decisions made, actions taken, and accomplishments and “overcomings” of all kinds.

It’s really important when doing this, that you don’t compare yourself to others.  Never mind what would be on anyone else’s list, yours is unique and perfect for you. If you see that there are things you’d like to have on your list, make it a goal, then come back to your list of accomplishments and keep adding.  It can help to look over your calendar/diary for the year – you might surprise yourself with how long your list can grow.

CelebrateI’ve found this to be a great family activity too, or one you can do with friends… Getting the perspective of others in your world can be enlightening – you forget what you’ve done, so they can remind you.  I remember asking Ethan what he was good at and what he’d learned at the end of his first year of school. He began listing things such as reading and spelling and “falling asleep easily”.  How many adults would like to have that on their list!

I think we can learn a lot from young children; they are not afraid to know what they’re good at, and ask for help when they struggle.  I wrote more about Celebrating on my blog - It's Time To Celebrate.

Now that you’ve listed your accomplishments and learning for 2009 – what does it mean for 2010?

Have a relaxing, refreshing Christmas break and go for it in 2010!!

Christmas Break

The Create the Life Club office will officially be closed until Monday 18 January, but we'll be available on email and phone from 11 January.

We'll be reflecting on the journey thus far, and planning how we can support our clients, members and other regional entrepreneurs and leaders more in the year ahead, so if you have any ideas or feedback we would LOVE to hear from you.

In the meantime, members have complete access to all the support already on the site - over $10,000 worth of business and personal development resources.

We hope you have a wonderful Christmas break, and look forward to sharing the journey of purposeful living with you in the New Year.

Love & blessings,
Kerrie & Lyndon
