Personal Update

Wow, what an exciting few weeks. Here's a brief snapshot followed by a success tip to help you think more effectively.

The big news is that the book is completed and in the publishers hands!

Lifting the Lid on Quiet Achievers - Success Stories of Regional Entrepreneurs has become a substantial resource and inspiring work.  I have featured entrepreneurs from various regional areas around Australia, including Roger Fletcher, Fletcher International Exports.  I attended a growers day at the Dubbo plant recently which was fascinating, and a great opportunity to meet with some of the staff, some of whom I'm pictured with below. Libby, Bernard and Craig are dealing with customers all over the world and are incredibly knowledgeable about the sheep meat and wool industry.

Warwick Moppett and Kerrie PhippsIt was great to hear from farmers about their experiences and questions, as we don't often see them at business functions in town. They're an integral part of our community, but as they don't have a shopfront, can be missed in the regional business scene.

Lyndon Phipps and Niel KeartonI'm pictured here with Warwick Moppett, a farmer from Tooraweenah, and a proactive individual interested in learning and sharing his discoveries with those around him.  I first met Warwick when he was Mayor of Gilgandra a few years ago.

Does your business allow you to take time out for other things that are important to you? Hope so. Lyndon is pictured here with Neil Kearton, another Dad who decided to build his own business which allows him more time with his family. Their assistance on their sons school excursion was appreciated not only by the teachers, but some very excited 9 and 10 year olds!

Cheering you on,

Lyndon & Kerrie

Spring cleaning -  your home/work environment and your inner world.

You may have been inspired lately to a little spring cleaning. There's something about this time of year. Many of my coaching clients come with projects in mind, such as being a more effective leader, doubling sales or regaining their zest for life. They often find it important to create a goal around their home or office environment. These can be the goals that make the biggest difference to their success. The impact on your thinking, when you have a tidy, inspiring, personally designed environment is amazing.

Just think, what space do you feel most comfortable in?

What space do you have that drains your energy? Is it your office, your kitchen or staff room that causes overwhelm?

Is there a room you walk into and feel clear-headed and ready to work? Is there a place in your backyard, or a room where you feel completely rested and clear thinking?

What would need to happen to create this?

If it's feeling completely overwhelming at the moment, the best thing you can do is imagine the environment you really want, and start with one small area. If your home or business entrance isn't what you want it to be, start there. If it's the office, start with one small area. The feeling you get from conquering a messy in-tray can give you the energy to do the next space.

As with the old question – how do you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time.

What will you start with this week?  Phone a friend, a coach or a cleaning lady - get the support you need to get to the other side! It's worth it.

Spring Cleaning

Our friends at JR Richards provide skip bins for the big clean up days - it's a joy to fill one of these and reap the benefits of having less stuff in the house and garage! One of my clients filled 4 of these big bins over a month and was extremely proud of herself. Rather than being embarrassed to have friends over, she now has a beautiful retreat, a great place for entertaining and a massive sense of achievement!

For recylcing, clearing clutter and dealing with green waste, see how JR Richards team can help you.
