If you saw the video we created for last nights telecall, filmed on location at Ethan's (first-ever) swimming carnival last tuesday - you would have seen a snippet of Ethan in action in the pool. He's excited to share that he achieved 2 second place ribbons, and a fourth. As a result of his times, he qualified in breaststroke and backstroke for the regional swimming carnival - with 8 days to prepare. As he announced to his grandparents "I'm going to be nervous for the next 8 days now!"

We recently held a Cashflow evening (playing the educational game by Robert Kiyosaki) with Members and friends who all had a fantastic time. Half of the fun was the insights around how they thought about money, working, business and investing. (and the food at the end!) All had never played before and can't wait for the next one!

At the Cashflow night we also presnted the $100 gift voucher won by Nic Taylor, member and winner of the membership drive prize draw.
We had a great telecall last night with Norma Stein from New Zealand, focusing on turning New Years resolutions into amazing goals that you can achieve this year. The feedback is coming in this morning, and some late last night -

Why it's so important to be yourself...
We all have so many opportunities to speak to audiences in many different formats - seminars, weddings, work presentations or tele-classes, and I don't know about you - but I'm always learning, and want to learn from the best! I'll be sharing more tips in the coming months, but today - I'm delighted to share an essential tip, as expressed by an inspiring friend of mine, highly successful speaker and business woman, Dr Joanna Martin...
The importance of Authenticity
It has long been my belief and experience that you will be at your most compelling and most effective as a salesperson, if you are just being yourself. This means just coming from the heart when you speak.
I have noticed for quite some time now, that I get my best results as a speaker and a saleswoman when I share something of myself. Recently I have started weaving a lot more about my family into my presentation. What I've found is that by sharing stories of a really personal nature, people can better understand and connect with you and then they will trust you much sooner.
When you are coming from a place of Authenticity and people feel like they are connecting with you, you will find you not only have a greater impact on them with the message you are sharing, they will also respond by pulling out their credit card and buying what you are offering.
So, my tip is to just be yourself. There is no need to be solemn or boring, just be yourself. Because when you are being yourself, others will be themselves. Just like the Marianne Williamson poem says "By letting your own light shine, you unconsciously give others permission to do the same".
Action Step: Think about where you can include more about yourself when you're interacting with your customers and prospects. Perhaps it's on your website, maybe it's when you're on the phone, perhaps you can even include more about yourself and your life in a live presentation
