The last few weeks seem to have gone by in an exciting blur! Some of this is captured below, (and some in blogs this week) but a highlight I’d like to share is from last weekend. After celebrating at Results Coaching Systems CoachFest on Friday, then Lyndon’s skydiving Christmas Party and his new Instructor Status on Saturday at Forbes, I finally met a phone coaching client face to face! Mark Crutcher picked me up from Forbes airport in his new little plane to fly me down to Greenethorpe to meet Adrian Capra and his family. Adrian runs an award winning business, Art of Espresso from his property near Grenfell, so it was exciting to see where coffee beans arrive from various countries and are roasted to perfection. I seriously don’t think I’ve had a better coffee anywhere. It was amazing (and yes, I did have another)!
I have found it incredibly useful when completing the year (or completing any project really) to look back and see what has been accomplished, and what learning was there along the way. So we will be doing this as a family after Christmas, and bringing the year to a close with grateful hearts and a confidence about the future. For now, a quick overview includes -
Lyndon, has been working on his skydiving instructor rating and is now qualified, and has enjoyed watching the students faces as they exit the aircraft for their first jump and their exhilaration when they land.
He has also learnt more about the internet than we could have anticipated, loves doing keyword research and giving me more work to do as a result - especially as it’s usually the other way around – so we’ve kept each other busy all year! It will take some time to take stock of all his new skills, which he readily shares with others who want to make the most of their businesses online.

In the Results coaching community I have been a trainer on several courses, hosted the Coaches Connect monthly telecalls for the third year running, spoke at CoachFest a couple of weeks ago, and was awarded the “Making a Bigger Difference Award”. I have also mentored new coaches across Asia Pacific and recently taken on the role of Assessor to support new coaches in becoming credentialed.
The CoachFest conference was an amazing day and a privilege to spend it with colleagues from all over Australia and New Zealand, being inspired and celebrating together. We celebrated 10 Years of Results Coaching Systems and David and Lisa Rock (CEO and Founders) shared the 10 year journey which has, quite simply been amazing. Maryanne Perry, pictured below (as David made me laugh and not pose for the camera) was voted Coach of the Year, which we all completely agreed with. Maryanne is one very inspiring, authentic, passionate difference-maker and I'm so thankful for her friendship and support.
This year have I've been coaching some inspiring individuals and teams, from Dubbo to New Zealand, Broken Hill, Greenethorpe, Singapore and Taiwan. These people are achieving greatness in their field, and it is an incredible privilege to support them to radically change their thinking, their habits and their outcomes.

Lyndon and I have long desired to work together in a real partnership, not just Lyndon supporting my business. This has become a reality this year with the launch of Create the Life Club. We are excited to offer more personal and business development, not only to coaching clients and other coaches, but to all who want to increase their success in all areas of life. This has been an incredible learning curve and we are so grateful to our members who jumped on board early and believed in us from the start. It just gets better from here team!
We recently hosted our first Create the Life Club telecall, with successful business owner David Hall, the Clean Plumber, and members and friends loved the opportunity to hear David’s success tips, and to be able to ask him questions. We have more inspiring people lined up to do telecalls next year, so you’ll see some announcements in our next few newsletters.
On 21 October, less than 2 months ago, I was sharing some ideas with my friend Bec, and when I mentioned a possible journal, including a guide to journaling, she asked me ”When?” and could she give them to people for Christmas? I nearly fell off my chair, but considered it... Maybe it’s possible... I’ll look into that... And here it is! Thanks to all the people who ordered early, who bought the journal the day it arrived, and every day since. I hope it is a great encouragement and a support to your goal-achieving!
Copies of Create the Life Journal are available from The Book Connection or Stephens Patisserie in Macquarie Street, Dubbo and Rouge Beauty, Victoria Street, West Dubbo or online; Click Here - Journal.

Today's success tip comes from Andrew May.

What are your seven steps for successful goal-setting?
1. Ask yourself the right questions - what do you want and why do you want to achieve it? How much does it really mean to you? What are the benefits of achieving the goal? Who will be affected? Are you prepared to do whatever it takes to achieve the goal?
2. Involve significant others - don't keep your goals to yourself. Enlist the support of your partner, family, friends and colleagues. This keeps you accountable, while at the same time forming a support group to keep you on track.
3. Get anchored - write your goals down on a sheet of paper, simplify them into point form and then display them somewhere you can view them regularly - your diary, office, car, even on the back of the toilet door.
4. Small bites - George Miller, a 1950s psychologist, believed that we can only deal with seven bits of information at any one time. Any more than this and we need to group things into more memorable, manageable chunks. So when you create your master plan for the New Year, keep goals to a manageable number and group similar areas.
5. Set a plan - after you have written down your specific goals, the next step is to work out a specific plan. Identify the key steps you need to take toward accomplishing your goals and assign specific dates for their achievement.
6. Project the future - review your goals at least every seven days (every day is ideal) - and don't leave it for another year. This helps activate the Reticular Activating System (RAS). The RAS is an inbuilt goal-setting device that tracks us toward our target and filters the type of information we let into our internal system. Spend time thinking about what it will be like once you have successfully achieved your goals. How are you going to feel? We really do become what we think!
7. Be realistic and reward yourself along the way - it is important to reward yourself along the way as you tick off your achievements. Give yourself a pat on the back for sticking to the process.
And remember, humans make mistakes, so don't beat yourself up if you lose focus. If you find yourself breaking resolutions or experiencing distractions, sit down and go through the goal-setting process again, starting from step one.
