Kerrie Phipps Meets Richard Branson In Perth

Today Kerrie Phipps Met Sir Richard Branson at a business breakfast he spoke at in Perth. After the breakfast Kerrie caught up with Sir Richard and gave him a copy of her book Lifting The Lid On Quiet Achievers.

Sir Richard is mentioned and quoted in it by several of the contributors so Kerrie told him this and he seemed to appreciate it.

Kerrie did get a photo with them both holding the book but for some reason it did not take the photo (next time I need to go as her personal photographer ;)). So the one below is a quick snap she took herself while Richard Branson’s minder was dragging them out the door.

While she was there Kerrie also met up with James Taylor from Port Hedland in Western Australia who is a contributor in her book. Together they did a book signing at Borders Book Store in Perth.

Richard Branson has a unique, flamboyant style and is truly one of today’s high fliers.

Now some of you know I love skydiving and the higher up you can get the better it is!

In 1960 Joseph Kittinger of the United States Air Force set the world record as part of project Excelsior. He reached 102,800 feet, a record still unbeaten in nearly 50 years.

Steve Truglia in Project Space Jump is planning to jump from 120,000 feet in a spacesuit, breaking the sound barrier with his body. The jump is scheduled for later this year.

Richard Branson however has a Life at 30,000 feet. I have viewed this video a few times now and I am still astounded at how much Richard Branson has achieved.
