Kerrie Phipps Meets Ray Martin

Today Ray Martin, one of Australia’s most senior and influential Corespondent’s was in Dubbo for a book signing (his book of course). Kerrie caught up with him and he seemed genuinely interested in Lifting The Lid On Quiet Achievers as he grew up in a regional area himself.

Ray Signed Kerrie’s copy of his book for her and she signed his copy of Lifting The Lid. Nice!

Kerrie Meets Sir Richard Branson

Kerrie Phipps Meets Richard Branson In Perth

Today Kerrie Phipps Met Sir Richard Branson at a business breakfast he spoke at in Perth. After the breakfast Kerrie caught up with Sir Richard and gave him a copy of her book Lifting The Lid On Quiet Achievers.

Sir Richard is mentioned and quoted in it by several of the contributors so Kerrie told him this and he seemed to appreciate it.

Kerrie did get a photo with them both holding the book but for some reason it did not take the photo (next time I need to go as her personal photographer ;)). So the one below is a quick snap she took herself while Richard Branson’s minder was dragging them out the door.

While she was there Kerrie also met up with James Taylor from Port Hedland in Western Australia who is a contributor in her book. Together they did a book signing at Borders Book Store in Perth.

Family Birthday
Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

We recently celebrated Kerrie’s brother’s birthday at the Macquarie Club, where we played tennis and lawn bowls, a first for many. Greg turned 30, and is pictured here with mum Jenny, brother David and Kerrie.

Birthday wishes also to Create the Life Club members Sue Cornish, and Maree Pell. Birthdays are always a great excuse to get together for some fun with special people, but if you have no birthdays coming up - plan something fun and social “just because”.

Blue skies,

Lyndon

Exciting Updates!
Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

It’s a very busy and exciting season here, with a book going to the publishers soon, members coaching calls launching, and a few other special events in the pipeline.

While I’m keeping a few details quiet about the book at the moment, I can say that we have a couple of our members featured in the book - and their content is AMAZING… Lyndon and I are really enjoying reading the drafts and having heaps of insights! Other successful entrepreneurs from across Australia have been highly recommended, and their stories are also bound to inspire and inform readers about the benefits of doing business and creating a wonderful lifestyle in Regional Australia.

We went to the Mudgee Field Days on Saturday - it was a glorious sunny day, and we met so many fabulous people with incredible ideas and innovative businesses. We’ll be sharing more in the next newsletter! Look out for that on Tuesday 4 August.

Have a fantastic week!

Cheering you on, Kerrie

Exciting Days
Monday, July 20th, 2009

Exciting days! We’re working on an inspiring book - I can’t wait to share it with you!

It’s called “Lifting the Lid on Quiet Achievers - Success Stories of Regional Entrepreneurs”.  Thank you to all our readers who went to the survey site to share your thoughts.  It’s coming together beautifully and the entrepreneurs featured from across Australia and New Zealand will inspire you with their stories. I’ll share more as we progress!

We’re also creating some really valuable resources for members - including a members only coaching call - which will be monthly, beginning on Tuesday 4 August at 12 noon. (AEST)

We also want to pass on our Congratulations to Mark Crutcher and his IGA team - their Grenfell Store took out the National Award for Customer Service at the IGA National Conference last week!  If you know Mark it’s no surprise - passion and enthusiasm always filters through to the whole organisation.  Mark has won numerous awards, including the national “Local Heroes” award in 2008.  Check it out in a previous newsletter.

Connect soon
Love Kerrie

Cronulla Beach
Thursday, May 28th, 2009

Cronulla Beach was the perfect spot to meet friends Chad and Corrie, back in Australia for a few weeks from their aid work in Vietnam. A little chilly in the water, but worth it to jump in for a while and share the joy with the kids, their Hope and Josiah, and our Ethan.

Before leaving Cronulla Beach at the end of the day we popped in to see my friend and Coaching colleague, Barbara Anderson. The beach photo above is taken from her balcony - what a view! I wrote about this day briefly in a newsletter, but if you haven’t seen the video we did to share the value of creating a vision board check it out!

Faster Updates With Twitter
Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

You may have noticed some really short blogs in our blog feed lately.

These are coming from our Twitter account.

“What is Twitter?” you may ask. Basically it is a short update service where we are limited to 140 characters to explain what is happening. (Check out the video below this blog for a simple explanation). These “tweets” as they are called are fed into our blog to keep you up to date as quickly as possible.

If you wish to follow us on twitter we also have another account; this one does not feed into the blog but is updated much more regularly.  Follow us here. http://twitter.com/createthelife

Our hope is that this will make Create the Life Club even more relevant and helpful to you.

Blue skies

Lyndon

If you haven’t seen the announcement about Monday’s Telecall with the fabulous Norma Stein from New Zealand - the first for telecall for 2009 - check out this page - www.createthelifeclub.com/teleclass and register today!

The video on the page was filmed, and edited, by Lyndon at our son Ethan’s swimming carnival (between races of course), where Ethan surprised himself by winning 3 ribbons (2 for 2nd place, 1 for 4th). Ethan raced home yesterday afternoon to tell us that his times in breaststroke and backstroke have qualified him for the regional carnival which takes place next week. He’s achieved more than he thought he could already! (Sounds like the clients I’m working with…)

Are you ready to surprise yourself with some big achievements this year? Even little ones are great - they give you confidence to take more on! To share in the excitement of setting and achieving inspiring goals, make sure you schedule the time in your diary for Monday night to join us on the phone from 7pm (NSW, and 9pm NZ) for one inspiring, insightful hour. To get more details and to register Click here now.

I Look forward to hearing you on the call.

Cheering you on,
Kerrie
