As I write this I’m almost overwhelmed with a sense of wonder… I have been on a massive learning journey for the last 5 years or so (well, all of life is a learning journey) and I’m delighted to be launching this website www.createthelifeclub.com with my incredible husband.

There are so many people in my world who I’m incredibly grateful for, and the list starts with Lyndon, who I’ve been married to for 14 years, and my truly wonderful parents. It continues with my wonderful friends, clients and colleagues, and the new connections I make each week!

Almost everyday I’m having inspiring conversations with people who are pushing the boundaries in their lives and achieving more than they’d previously thought possible, and one of the things I’m so excited about with this website is the opportunity to continue building a community of like minded people. I can’t wait to introduce you to each other!!

We’ll soon be launching a forum so you can all chat and learn from each other, and running telecalls where I’ll be inviting people who are leaders in their fields, to share their tips and inspiring stories.

I love the way we can make a difference in each other’s lives, and make a significant difference in the world.

I am truly thankful to be where we are at now, and grateful that the journey continues.

World Youth Day has Sydney buzzing. The atmosphere literally puts a smile on your face. Our first encounter was in Central Station at 9pm on Friday night, where young people walked through the hallways (with less luggage than Lyndon & I!) chanting and singing. I could hear them before I could see them, although the only words I could make out was “Go Jesus Go!” I was entranced, and disappointed that I had no-one to share the moment with. Lyndon was away getting train tickets and my camera was packed somewhere in the depths of someone’s suitcase.

Arriving in Sydney after a 6 hour train trip I’d felt too tired to talk to anyone, but I came to life, energised by their passion and wanting to run after them to engage them in conversation – however I was loaded down with too much baggage to capture the moment.

Hmmm… Ever found yourself missing opportunities because of the baggage you drag around? Since I think about thinking quite a bit, it leads me to consider the way we can miss ideas and creativity that is sitting there in the brain, because the brain is cluttered with baggage that could be described as the everyday busyness, the detail of doing and just thinking of everything that needs doing.

Just like we can organise our suitcases to travel lighter, we can go into the day lighter, organised and knowing our plan. We can live freely and lightly by noticing what we’re carrying and dumping whatever’s not useful. Are you carrying around grudges – that’s a massive suitcase on it’s own! Take a moment to think about your thinking and see if you can clear anything to access your creativity and intuition more readily. It’s a choice, moment by moment.

iphone mania captured me too, I must confess. I was down at the Network Communications store before 9am to pick up the first of only three allocated to the store… it amazes me that there was such a shortage - maybe someone didn’t realise that there were people like me who suddenly appreciate the best technology. (well, it came to the fore on 3 June - see post “my new mac”)

I watched the iphone guided tour last night in anticipation - it is a really lovely piece of technology… I can’t wait to take some time over the weekend to play.

Today I have some very exciting news…

After much anticipation our website went live. We still have a bit of work to do to get it ready for you to see but we should be able to let you know the url in a few weeks.
